Using stories in social situations 1

In this penultimate video in the Bee series ;-)  I take a look at using stories in social situations.

One of the most useful purposes of stories in this context is that they act as a vehicle or routine for you to demonstrate your personality.  It’s the amount of emotion, passion, humour and energy you can put into the story that is going to make the biggest difference to how you come across.  At the same time the stories that you tell demonstrate your values.  They demonstrate what you care about, how you respond to things, what you value, without you ever having to explicitly say what those things are.

“Where are you from ” This is one of the most common questions we ask people when we first meet them, probably because where a person calls home tells us something about who they are.
